Learn principles of Tai Chi and Qigong and how to use them therapeutically for patients of all levels and diagnoses.
This course provides 10 CEUs and prepares the clinician for appropriate use of Qigong and Tai Chi movements as an effective, engaging form of therapeutic intervention. The course includes basic movements, foundations, and movement principles of Tai Chi and Qigong for therapeutic benefit.
The course includes a 10-contact-hour in-person group session to receive direct postural corrections and feedback, as well as real-life application with case studies and diagnosis simulations (remaining within HIPAA guidelines). There will also be follow-up discussions to review questions, applications and documentation.

Learning Objectives
Participants will:

Learn simple Tai Chi and Qigong movements and apply them for therapeutic intervention with a variety of patient diagnoses and disabilities.

Understand and demonstrate foundational Tai Chi and Qigong principles such as postural alignment, weight transfer, pelvic/spine unified rotation, whole-body movement and the concept of Song.

Appropriately choose movements and movement principles for therapeutic intervention with different diagnoses and patient disabilities.

Appropriately modify movements for different diagnoses and levels of ability.

Demonstrate Tai Chi and/or Qigong movements with good foundations and basic form.

Apply learned concepts through case studies and diagnosis simulations.

Review documentation and therapeutic intervention coding for the use of Tai Chi and Qigong in clinical practice.

Cancellation & Refund Policy
Cancellations received at least 14 days before the workshop are eligible for a full refund.
Cancellations received less than 14 days before the workshop are nonrefundable; however, you may transfer your registration to another person by notifying Susan in advance.
No refunds will be issued for no-shows or partial attendance.
If the workshop is canceled by Susan, all registration fees will be refunded in full. Susan/Handy Learning, Inc. is not responsible for travel, lodging, or other expenses incurred by participants.
