Scripture:

“Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies [dedicating all of yourselves, set apart] as a living sacrifice, holy and well-pleasing to God, which is your rational (logical, intelligent) act of worship. And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you].”
Romans 12:1-2 AMP
By engaging in Tai Chi, we quiet our mind, removing ourselves from the material world - disengaging in our constant surrounds of materialism, false needs; the convergent focus on matter. This is the “sacrifice” - to give all that up, to be wholly present, even if for the briefest moment.
In doing so, our body and mind work together to become open and still; increasing our energy and the frequency of energy. We no longer “conform to this world” and we become “progressively changed.” We mature spiritually.
When we practice Tai Chi (or Qigong) we remove ourselves from worldly concerns - with the "matter" of this world, of the man-made problems, the artificial thinking, and must-haves. We become empty of the constructs around us and instead, we become filled with the energy of God. Pure, sincere...holy.
We can feel within us the “will” of God which is “good and acceptable and perfect.” We become purified. We become divine!
Over time, with the purest and most sincerest efforts we cleanse ourselves of the slower downward spiraling energy; that which coats and insulates us from God. We raise our energy and shed the insulating layers. It becomes easier to connect. We are less distractible, less reactive to our environment. We become more insightful, more patient, more broad in our awareness.
Our life begins to change. We transform.
God is always there, but in this new state we can feel, hear, and receive Him.
Story of the Rabbit
From The Way of God by Waysun Liao page 145:
"An analogy I like to use for this transformation is the change that would happen if a rabbit transformed completely and turned into a cat. If I am a rabbit, I like to eat grass and hop around. I get scared when other animals look at me. I have long ears, a stubby tail, and nice soft fur. Now I can practice some martial arts or weight lifting and become a bigger, faster and stronger rabbit, or eat more carrots and become a sleeker, healthier rabbit. However, even though I’ve worked on myself and see many nice changes, I am still a rabbit.
What we are talking about is to use Tai Chi to completely transform your nature. First you are a rabbit, and then one day you feel totally different. You have completely transformed to become a cat! You have no interest in eating grass. Other animals no longer scare you. Instead of you running away from them, they run away from you! You move, feel, look and sound totally different than before. Your total nature has changed. You are still you, but you are totally transformed.

This Tai Chi teaching is not meant to merely improve you. We are not making you into a stronger, better rabbit. Make no mistake. This Tai Chi teaching, the real Tai Chi training, is designed to totally change your nature. We are not interested in a “quantity” change — making you calmer, kinder, a little bit healthier, or better able to perform 200 new Tai Chi forms that you didn’t know last year. We are interested in a “quality” change. With a quality change, you are a whole new person!
Actually this whole new person is no stranger. This is the real You! The You that has been hidden under layers of time, pollution and wrong thinking. The You that was forgotten as you grew up, left to the side, ignored and buried. The You that enjoys a natural and spontaneous connection to the original energy of the Universe! That old rabbit you is gone."
Prayer

Help us to be present with you
To Feel your uplifting energy.
Fill our mind, our heart, our soul
So that we may be transfer
Shedding the layers of insulation
Governed by the world around us.
Instead, allow us to become
A receiver
Of your light, your energy and your love.
Allow us to feel it!
So that we are forever transformed.
Amen
